initial line-up revealed for Nozstock

Dreadzone, The Proclaimers, and Andy C & MC GQ lead the first acts revealed for the 14th Nozstock festival which takes place at 17th century farm near Bromyard, in Herefordshire.

The Orchard Stage line-up is The Proclaimers, Dreadzone, Juan Zelada, Dollar Bill, Son Of Dave, Brassroots, Skinny Lister, The Electric Swing Circus, Willy Moon, and By The Rivers.

The converted cowshed, the Cubicles will host Andy C & MC GQ, Camo & Krooked, Tomb Crew, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Octane & DLR, Dub Phizix, Ed Rush, and Youngsta.

Hip-Hop acts for the The Bullpen are The Four Owls, Dirty Dike & Jam Baxter, Fliptrix, 3 Amigos, and Sika Studios as well as graffiti art workshops.

The Garden Stage line-up will feature Sonny Wharton, and Ed Solo, and London's Mooch with a Saturday night takeover.

Bristol's Tribe Of Frog will host the psychedelic trance Coppice stage , and Musicborn from London host Friday night at The Bandstand with a mix of indie, rock and electro.

Nozstock regulars Stephen Frost's Improv Allstars are confirmed with a whole host of pre-Edinburgh Fringe sketches making their way to the festival's Laughing Stock tent.

This is the first of line-up announcement from Nozstock The Hidden Valley and there are many more acts to follow.

The 5,000 capacity event offers nine main stages of entertainment. Further music, theatre, comedy stages and tents are located in secret woodland glades around the site. The festival is held at The Farm, in Bromyard, Herefordshire from Friday 27th until Sunday 29th July 2012.

This year Nozstock is working with 'Stand Up Against Racism' as part of the 'Show Racism The Red Card' campaign to raise awareness.

The fancy dress theme is Myths & Legends, and festival goers are encouraged to dress up.

The festival's ethos is about bringing play to everyone, in whatever form it can. Nozstock believes in the value of not only entertaining, but in participation and contribution for all ages with activities that little ones can enjoy as well as families.

The intimate family run festival of performing arts will also offer a healing and therapy area, local and world cuisine, sock wrestling, walkabout theatre, ballz out circus troupe, fire dancers, jive and ceilidh evenings, sound art, spoken word and poetry, talks and forums from the tent of temporary thought with guest speakers.

The Enchanted Glade kids area will offer circus skills, tall tales, puppet procession, kidi yoga, uv disco and dance workshop, gaffer tape roses, bubble making, and workshops.

The cinema will present an array of experimental short films, animations, music videos and with live VJ performances, the cinema offers kids' shorts by day, sound art workshops and visionary works.

Nozstock: The Hidden Valley will also offer its guests a programme of cabaret and theatre and has brought on board Birmingham University whose students will be running the technical side of this stage as part of their final degree project. More details to be announced later in the year.

An early bird adult weekend ticket is priced at £70 including camping. Weekend teen tickets (13-17 yrs old) are priced at £50, parking is £5, and camper/Live-in vehicle passes are priced at £28. Children aged 12 years and under can attend for free.
