Kaiser Chiefs have been announced as the second of three main stage headliners for this year's Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts.

Kaiser Chiefs
The Leeds based indie rockers will take to the main stage in Guernsey on Sunday 24th June and are set to bring the event to an energetic conclusion with their large catalogue of well-known anthemic hits.

Joining them on stage and performing immediately beforehand will be The Charlatans.

The two-day event now in its second year will take place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June 2012 at The Rabbit Warren, Victoria Avenue, St Sampson on Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.

The event will also host up-and-coming pop star Daniela Brooker on the main stage on Saturday. The dance area will also be featuring performances from Friction, Utah Saints, Micky Slim, The Squatters, Dazzle, and Sam Wire.

The Other Stage will host Sam Wire, DJ Wrongtom feat Deemas J & Limey Banton who are both part of the Guernsey-based Old Time New Time Sounds collective. They will also be joined by Jersey's Lloyd Yates, and Mt. Wolf who feature two Guernsey-born musicians.

Festival organiser Jon Stephen said, "We are stoked to be ending the weekend with Kaiser Chiefs. Their brand of rock is appealing to everyone and their tracks are so embedded in our culture that the performance should have everyone singing along. They will close this year’s festival in style."

The festival will play host to 80+ acts over 4 stages. Previously confirmed Macy Gray will headline with King Charles, Kassidy, General Fiasco, Albert Lee, Josh Kumra, The Selecter, Little Barrie, Kitten And The Hip, Mason, JFB, Sir Spyro, Courage Have Courage, Raising Maisie, The Electric Stars, San Jyla, Dom Duff, Starseed, The Spindle Sect, In Tyler We Trust, Master And Dog, and Gregs Greats, also confirmed.

There are more acts yet to be announced including a final headline act to join Macy Gray on the Saturday.

A children's weekend ticket is priced at £25, juniors at £65 and adults at £85. There are also a limited number of VIP tickets available priced at £185 for the weekend. Day tickets are priced at £55 for adults, £40 for juniors, and £15 for children. Camping passes for the weekend are priced at £25. To buy tickets, click here .
