More than 150 new acts have been announced for Liverpool Sound City taking place this May.
Also confirmed are Eleanor Friedberger, Elmo and the Styx , Emma Louise, Esco Williams, Faceless Nation, Farryl Purkiss, Fin, Fitz, Flat Back Four, Flip Grater, Fossil Collective, Funeral Suits, Get Back Colquitt, Ghost Outfit, Golden Fable, Goodnight Lenin, Gush, Heartbeat Parade, Hey Sholay, HighFields, Hot Panda, Hugh Keice, I am Dive, I Dream In Colour, Iktsuarpok, Ironside, Jake Bugg, Jay Stansfield, Jazzhands, The Jessie Rose Trip, Jethro Fox, Jinja Safari, Johnny Sands, Kasst , Kazimier Krunk Band, and Kites.
Liverpool sound city will also host The Lake Poets, Last Dinosaurs, Like Spinning, Lilliput, Long Finger Bandits, Low Roar, Luke Fenlon, Mammal Club, Man Get Out, Manuka, Mausi, Milla & The Geeks, Mind Mountain, Miss Stylie, Monkey Pilot, Mont Blanc, Nine Tails, Nokies!, Owls, The Oxygen Thieves, Patterns, Peace, Peggy Sue, People In the Box, People Of K , Pete and the Harmonics, Pete Bentham & The Dinner Ladies, Pond, and Post War Years.
Also heading to the Merseyside bash are Ratty Little Fingers, Reptile Youth, Revere, Roosevelt, Salem Rages, Samuel Mason, Scams, Seward, She's So Rad, Sheepdogs, Silent Sleep, Silverclub, Some Community, Southern Spring Offensive, Stafraenn Hakon, Strike, Suicides, Sun Drums, Sunless '97, Sweet Billy Pilgrim, Sweet Lights, and Swiss Lips.
As well as Tall Ships, The Tea Street Band, The Brownies, The City Walls, The Daydream Club, The Dead Class, The Grande, The Hummingbirds, The Lake Poets, The Likely Lads, The Lunar Fields, The Marginals, The Night, The Red Suns, The Royals, The Second Grace, The Strangers, The Suicide Of Western Culture, The Sums, The Thespians, The Union Dolls, The Valkarys, The Vermin, Theme Park, This Is Two, Thomas J Speight, Tibi & Her Cello, Tina In The Green Dress, Tiro Lark, Trudi, Vasco Da Gam, Waa Wei We, Wet Nuns, YAST, and Young British Artists.
Professor Green is one of the headliners, with Mystery Jets, Michael Kiwanuka, Alkaline Trio, Slow Club, Willy Mason, GhostPoet, The Jezabels, ALT-J, Niki & the Dove, Toy, Forest Swords, The History of Apple Pie, Bear In Heaven, Folks, The Computers, Still Flyin', Jonquil, Shields, Towns, PINS, Bleached, White Denim, Death In Vegas, Cloud Nothings, Yukon Blonde, Charli XCX, Fixers, and many more acts to be confirmed.

Liverpool Sound City returns for three days and nights from Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th May and is held at multiple venues and spaces in Liverpool's cultural quarter.
Alongside live performance Liverpool Sound City also hosts a 'Convention' each year which focus is on bringing together a vast array of creative and digital industries business professionals, artists, music, film and art fans to enjoy today's best new music and chart the future course of the music, digital and creative industries.
Sound City wristbands allow entry to ALL Liverpool Sound City 2012 branded gigs on a first come first served basis subject to the individual venues capacity. Please note some gigs will be 18+ only.
Liverpool Sound City also features conferences and panels with seasoned veterans and younger voices, the commemorative John Peel World Cup, and legendary keynote speakers and special guests.
