Creamfields announces refund scheme

For those that had tickets to Creamfields the festival has finally revealed details of their refund scheme,with most weekend ticket options getting up to a 50% refund, and those with Sunday only tickets refunded in full, as long as tickets were bought from official outlets.

Torrential rain on the festival site at Daresbury Estate, near Warrington in Cheshire last weekend meant that organisers made the decision to close the event.

Now organisers have announced details of the refund scheme and apologised in it tasking so long to announce the details, saying "Firstly we'd like to apologise for the delay in getting these details to you, we do understand your frustration however, there are several parties involved and it's taken a little longer than anticipated to pull all this information together, rest assured this has been a top priority for us."

The scheme includes a full refund issued on all Sunday Day Tickets and part refunds issued on all camping tickets scanned on entry for all those who have purchased through one of our official ticket agents (either online or by telephone).

Organisers are issuing the following refunds on the following ticket types:
Earlybird 2 day Camping: (original price £100) - refund value £50
Earlybird 3 day Camping: (original price £120) - refund value £50
Standard 2 Day Camping: (original price £115) - refund value £57.50
Standard 3 Day Camping: (original price £135) - refund value £57.50
Standard 2 Day Camping: (original price £125) - refund value £62.50
Standard 3 Day Camping: (original price £125) - refund value £62.50
Standard 2 Day Camping: (original price £135) - refund value £67.50
Hospitality 2 day Camping: (original price £220) - refund value £110
Hospitality 3 day Camping: (original price £250) - refund value £110
2 day non Camping: (original price £115) - refund value £57.50
2 day non Camping: (original price £125) - refund value £62.50
Sunday Early Bird: (original price £60) - full refund value £60
Sunday Standard: (original price £65) - full refund value £65
Sunday Hospitality: (original price £110) - full refund value £110

The statement goes on to say, "For all those people who purchased with a debit or credit card, your refund will automatically be returned to the same card the transaction came from – please allow 28 days for all refunds to be issued and we request that you keep hold of your proof of purchase until you have received your refund."

The list of the official ticket agents is: Ticketline, Ticketmaster, 3B Records, HMV, Skiddle, Gigantic, TrackitDown, Tickets Scotland, See Tickets, Big Green Coach, Club Sports Ltd, and BCCS.

For those people who purchased their ticket over the counter from 3B Records please contact them directly on 0151 353 7027 or go into the store in person.

Unfortunately those people who have purchased a ticket from a NON OFFICIAL site (including Ebay) will not be refunded.

The event was due to host Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Tiesto and Groove Armada after Avicii, David Guetta, and Eric Prydz, had appeared on the opening rain filled day.
