Rammstein headline Sunday at Download 2013

As revealed yesterday German industrial metallers Rammstein have been confirmed as Sunday night headliners of the 11th Download Festival which happens at Donington Park over the weekend of Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2013.

Making this their only announced UK date of a summer of European festivals Rammstein will be bringing their intense live show of pyrotechnics, smoke, bubbles, and theatrics, and Download fans can be sure of being enthralled by the Teutonic loons and their euphoric industrial metal German drinking songs.

Andy Copping, VP of Promotions at Live Nation commented, "We're very excited to welcome Rammstein to Donington for the very first time. They are an epic live act and a perfect Sunday headliner to cap off what is shaping up to be yet another fantastic Download festival."

When asked how it felt to be playing Download, Rammstein simply commented, "It's only a festival... not a moon landing."

Iron Maiden will headline Saturday, and Download has no other acts confirmed yet for 2013. The strongest rumours for the third headliner appear to be Green Day and Pearl Jam.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday 28 September at 9am, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then. Tickets will be priced at £170 for a weekend arena ticket, £195 for 3 nights with camping, and £205 for 5 nights with camping.
