A limited number of early bird tickets are on sale today (Monday 1st October) for the 11th The Green Man Festival.

Last year's early bird tickets were snapped up in and hour and a half when they went on sale for the festival takes place annually at Glanusk Park, Usk Valley, Powys, Wales. The dates for The Green Man Festival 2013 are confirmed as from Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th August.

The Green Man Festival is a four day event with three days of music and more than 100 acts playing indie, psychedelia, Americana, and folk across 5 stages, while DJs playing everything from psychedlia, dub-reggae, modern electro and stoner rock right through the night.

Literature, film, theatre, ceilidhs, all-night bonfires, comedy and secret gigs are part of the festival's identity. The festival has carved a niche as a non-corporate and ethically-minded festival.

Early bird tickets are priced at £130 for adults, £115 for students, £60 for teenagers (aged 13 to 17 years), and £5 for children aged 5 to 12 years, infants and 4 and under can attend free, but need a ticket. A live-in vehicle ticket will be priced at £50, and holiday tickets (bought in addition to a weekend ticket, allowing camping at Glanusk Park from Monday 12th August for 3 days before the festival opens) will be priced at £40.

Green Man will be introducing a deposit scheme for tickets for this year's festival once the full-price tickets go on sale - details to follow.

UPDATE: The early bird tickets sold out in four hours. An adult weekend ticket is on sale priced at £145 for adults, £125 for students, £75 for teenagers (aged 13 to 17 years), and £5 for children aged 5 to 12 years, infants and 4 and under can attend free, but need a ticket. A live-in vehicle ticket is priced at £60, and holiday tickets (bought in addition to a weekend ticket, allowing camping at Glanusk Park from Monday 12th August for 3 days before the festival opens) are priced at £40.

Green Man have introduced a deposit scheme for tickets for this year's festival where ticket purchasers pay 50% of the ticket price now (including booking fees and postage) and pay the remainder by 30th April 2013.
