It is recommended that ticket buyers are prepared to buy tickets as soon as they go on sale, and should anticipate that they could be waiting for some time to connect.

Anyone aged 13 or over (when the Festival starts) who wishes to buy a ticket must be registered. All registered festival-goers who want to buy tickets will need the registration number and postcode for each person for whom a ticket is being booked.

Ticket registration closed at last Sunday, and is due to re-open sometime in the week commencing Monday 8th October. Everyone who plans to the come the Festival must register, and that includes children aged 13, 14 and 15. Each ticket sold will feature a photograph of the person in whose name it is registered and will be non-transferable. An existing registration can be checked here.

eFestivals has no idea how high demand will be when they go on sale, but here are a few historic sell out times for you to consider:

2011 - on sale October, sold out 4 hours (1.15pm).
2010 - on sale October, sold out 12 hours.
2009 - on sale October, sold out February.
2008 - on Sale April, sold out a day before.
2007 - First year of registration system (implemented to cut out touting) on sale April, sold out 2 hours.
2006 - Fallow year.
2005 - on sale April, sold out 1 hour and 45 minutes (touts and scalpers blamed with thousands then put up for sale on eBay).
2004 - on sale April, sold out 24 hours.
2003 - on sale April, sold out 26 hours.
2002 - on sale April, sold out after 25 days, which was the first time it sold out 2 months in advance, and the first year of the super fence.

So we recommend you get up early, and be patient when trying to buy tickets. eFestivals will be using our forums to try to keep people abreast of news on how ticket sales are going. It may be some comfort to know that, this year so far, there is much less media attention about ticket on sale day compared to previous years.

UK ticket balances of £155 per ticket, will be payable in the first week of April 2013 following the Easter Weekend (from 9am Tuesday 2nd April until 23:59 Monday 8th April, when there will also be options to book everything else needed (tipis, campervan tickets, parking, cancellation protection).

When available, in spring 2012, a car park ticket will be priced at £25 and a campervan ticket will be priced at £85. Details of tipis, combined coach and festival tickets along with other transport options will be announced in the New Year. Car Park or Campervan Tickets will not be able to be booked until the balance is paid for at least one of the tickets on a booking.

The ticket price covers entry to the Festival site from Wednesday 26th June until Monday 1st July 2013 and, as ever, includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and a host of local charities and causes (in 2011, more than £2m was raised).

Anyone who decides not to pay their balance in 2013 will be refunded their deposit, minus a £10 administration fee. Those tickets will then be put forward to a re-sale, which is likely to be in April or May 2013.
