A message from Festival organisers says, "After one hour and 40 minutes, tickets for Glastonbury 2013 have now completely sold out (in record time). We would like to say an enormous thanks to everyone who managed to buy a ticket - but we'd also like to extend our sincere apologies to the many thousands who missed out.

We're genuinely humbled by the sheer number of people who would like to come to the festival, and we dearly wish we could have you all along. Sadly, that just isn't possible, which means a significant number of people have missed out.

Tickets were being sold throughout the morning - but demand simply outstripped supply.

If you were one of those that managed to get a ticket, then we look forward to welcoming you at Worthy Farm in June. If not, then there is likely to be a resale of returned tickets in the spring, and your registration will also remain valid for future festivals - so we hope to see you down here at some point.

Thank you all again for your incredible support, for Glastonbury Festival.

Michael and Emily Eavis

eFestivals will let ticket buyers know when the re-sale will be. Congratulations to those who got tickets, and commiserations to those who didn't.

Anyone aged 13 or over (when the Festival starts) who wishes to buy a ticket must be registered. All registered festival-goers who want to buy tickets will need the registration number and postcode for each person for whom a ticket is being booked.

Ticket registration is due to re-open sometime in the week commencing Monday 8th October. Everyone who plans to the come the Festival must register, and that includes children aged 13, 14 and 15. Each ticket sold will feature a photograph of the person in whose name it is registered and will be non-transferable. An existing registration can be checked here.

When available, in spring 2012, a car park ticket will be priced at £25 and a campervan ticket will be priced at £85. Details of tipis, combined coach and festival tickets along with other transport options will be announced in the New Year. Car Park or Campervan Tickets will not be able to be booked until the balance is paid for at least one of the tickets on a booking.

The ticket price covers entry to the Festival site from Wednesday 26th June until Monday 1st July 2013 and, as ever, includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and a host of local charities and causes (in 2011, more than £2m was raised).

Anyone who decides not to pay their balance in 2013 will be refunded their deposit, minus a £10 administration fee. Those tickets will then be put forward to a re-sale, which is likely to be in April or May 2013.

Any transaction that results in a charge back or payment dispute will be cancelled. It is the ticket purchasers responsibility to ensure that they have sufficient funds in their account to pay for the tickets.
