tickets on sale now for Moseley Folk Festival 2013

Tickets went on sale at 9am today (Thursday 20th December) for the eighth Moseley Folk Festival which takes place at Moseley Park, Birmingham from Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September 2013.

Kate Rusby, who previously played at Moseley Folk Festival in 2007, will be returning to headline the festival on the Sunday. Kate told Safe Concerts (here), "I am really looking forward to coming back to Moseley and hope, this time, the sun shines down on all you lovely people."

After celebrating twenty years in the music industry in 2012, the Yorkshire born folk artist has said she is taking a rest from touring for the first half of the year concentrating on other projects. Summer 2013 sees her return to a few carefully selected festivals before embarking on her ever popular Autumn tour in mid September. As ever, Kate will be joined on stage by the cream of British folk musicians who form part of her band.

Moseley Folk Festival provides plenty of marquee cover, well-stocked real ale and scrumpy (cash) bars, plus fine food and refreshments, children's area with entertainment, hand powered fairground rides, face painting, music making workshops, and storytelling pirates, along with a new healing and workshop area nestling in the dell behind the fishermen's hut, more sessions and live music in and around the pubs of Moseley.

An early bird weekend adult ticket is priced at £85, a kids (aged 12-15) weekend ticket is priced at £35, a family weekend (2 adults & 2 kids under 16) is priced at £180. A Friday day ticket is priced at £35 (kids £15), Saturday or Sunday is priced at £37 (kids £15). Children under 12 years old may enter for free with a paying adult.
