Bryan Ferry to headline Love Supreme Jazz Festival

Bryan Ferry will headline the Saturday night of the first ever Love Supreme Jazz Festival a three day green-field Jazz Festival with camping for 15,000, that takes place at Glynde Place, East Sussex, from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July 2013.

Bryan Ferry And The Bryan Ferry Orchestra's performance will be the UK live premier of the material from his critically acclaimed 'The Jazz Age' album. The show will be split into two parts, and also include a set of hits from Ferry's career as a solo artist and with Roxy Music.

Also confirmed are Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Michael Kiwanuka, Courtney Pine, Gregory Porter, Portico Quartet, Roller Trio, Gogo Penguin, and Naturally 7.

Bryan Ferry said, "I am looking forward to incorporating material from my latest album 'The Jazz Age' in the set at the Love Supreme Festival. This will be the first time the Bryan Ferry Orchestra will have played live in the UK and we will be adding vocals to several of the jazz arrangements as well as being joined by members of my regular band."

The line-up of over 40 acts features a classic and contemporary bill including the previously announced Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Marcus Miller, Branford Marsalis Quartet, Robert Glasper Experiment, Neil Cowley Trio, Snarky Puppy, Andreya Triana, Soweto Kinch, Phantom Limb, Zara McFarlane, and White Mink vs Peppermint Candy.

The Love Supreme Jazz Festival will offer four stages (main stage, a unique green-field festival indoor floored and seated Jazz stage, a 'Discovery' stage and a dance stage).

The Love Supreme Jazz Festival revives a tradition of open-air jazz festivals that stretches back to 1956, when the Beaulieu Festival was launched at Lord Montague's country house in Hampshire. Others followed, including the National Jazz and Blues Festival, which started during the 1960s, changed its musical style and evolved into today's Reading and Leeds Festival.

Tickets are priced at £110 for the weekend with camping, or £100 no camping. A junior aged (age 6-17 years) ticket with camping is priced at £60 or £50 without camping, and a child (age 0-5 years) is free. A campervan pass is £50, and a car park pass is £10.
