Manchester's Parklife will be at Heaton Park

Parklife Festival has announced it's new home for the fourth year of the event will be Heaton Park, in Manchester, having moved away from Platts Field Park.

Parklife Festival will take place over two days at a new venue (having moved away from Platts Field Park) in Manchester on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June 2013.

Last year it was confirmed that the even't original home Platt Fields Park was no longer big enough to accommodate the event. Now the new home has been unveiled as With 2013 seeing a wider spread of music and entertainment including larger dance arenas, more spectacular production and many hidden nooks and crannies ensuring the biggest Parklife Weekender ever staged.

Parklife Weekender Organiser, Sam Kandel said, "We are very lucky that no other large scale events have been planned for the site this year, so that Parklife Weekender is able to work with Manchester City Council for what is our biggest and best festival yet. The Parklife team are very proud to see this years festival at Heaton Park - it definitely feels like 2013 is going to be a key moment in Parklife Weekenders history."

Councillor Nigel Murphy, executive member for the environment, added; "We've worked closely with the Parklife organisers to make sure this successful event can continue to be held in Manchester. We look forward to the long term benefits which events of this nature will bring to Heaton Park, Manchester residents and other people who regularly use this wonderful free facility."

Also announced today are The Temper Trap, Baauer, Boddika, Breakbot, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs live and as a TEED (DJ Set).
