The Vaccines, & Paloma Faith, headline Tyne & Wear's Evolution

Paloma Faith, and The Vaccines will headline Evolution Music Festival returning to Spiller's Wharf, Tyne & Wear on the late May Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday 26th and Sunday 27th May 2013.

They top a line-up that will appear before an expected crowd of 60,000 on the Quayside that straddles Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead that also includes Jake Bugg, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental, Bastille, The Strypes, and AlunaGeorge.

Confirmed as headlining the Dance Stage are Modestep and Sub Focus both of whom will be performing live.

Other acts unveiled today include Lulu James, Arlissa, The Lake Poets, Lethal Bizzle, Mistajam, Zinc, Loadstar, Delta Heavy, Dismantle, Decibel, Drenge, Bondax, Gorgon City, P Money, Chroma, DJ Gentleman Jonny, Eliza and The Bear, and Rossi Noise.

Festival Director, Jim Mawdsley said, "We have been working damned hard over the last few months to put together the strongest, most varied line up yet! As usual we are proud to have such a strong mix of today's heavy weights and future stars. The dance stage at Ballast Hills will be an even bigger draw this year and again we are producing all of this for the best value ticket in the UK Festival market. I for one can't wait."

Tickets are priced at £39.50 for the 2 day event and £29.50 for each individual day.
