The Charlatans
They are the third and final headline act confirmed to perform in Delamere Forest, Cheshire, as part of the Forestry Commission's annual Forest Live concert series. It will be a home forest gig for the band who arrived with their breakthrough hit, 'The Only One I Know' before subsequent top 10 hits. 2013 sees the band return to their Big Mushroom studio to begin working on demos for a new album and also the release of 'Mountain Picnic Blues DVD', a documentary on the band's LP, 'Tellin' Stories', from its creation in 1997 to the 15th anniversary edition of the album.

Delamere Forest will provide a stunning backdrop for the outdoor performance, providing a natural amphitheatre set in a forest clearing. Full bar and catering services will be available with ample parking provided on site and Delamere train station nearby.

Commenting on the date, lead vocalist Tim Burgess said, "This is local gig for the band which makes it extra special for us and also we hope for our fans. Last time we were at Delamere Forest it was a great night and we’re looking forward to playing there again."

Forestry Commission Live Music is an independent programme bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the local forests for both people and wildlife.

The Charlatans will be performing the show on Sunday 7th July, tickets will be priced at £34, and go on sale at 9am this Friday 1st March and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
