French dance rockers Black Strobe will be making the trip over The Channel especially to headline Farmfestival which returns for it's 8th consecutive year to Bruton, in Somerset on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th July 2013.

The Lovely Eggs
Their appearance will be a UK festival exclusive. Also confirmed are The Lovely Eggs, Gramme, Thumpers, Chicken Lips, and the Civilisation of the Rough tent headliner Luke Unabomber.

Other new additions include Oh! Gunquit, Ivan Campo, The Idol Rich, Moscow Youth Cult, Africa Entsha, I.This.Yes., Go Go Cult, Moriaty, The Ukes Of Hazzard, and Tula & The Blackgang.

They join the first acts to be confirmed who were Ghostpoet, Art Brut, The Skimmity Hitchers, The Skints, DJ Die, Reeps1, Son Of Dave, Typesun, Mt Wolf, Nimmo and the Gauntletts, DJ Woody, Leftside Wobble, Laid Blak, The Standards, Three Kings High, Harting, The Flamenco Thief, Dropbear, Francis & Boyd, The Drystones, Ick Bin Finn, Thyla, Ay Ducane, Blue Skin Fever, Louie Louie, Slatternly, Mishima, Dr Fish, COR DJs, Farmfestival Djs, James Bell, and The Fire Beneath the Sea.

The event has grown from 400 to 5000 attendees with minimal marketing, absolutely no sponsorship, and a lo-fi, DIY approach that continues to create a unique atmosphere and is held on an Organic farm near Bruton, Somerset. The event is a non profit making festival that raises money for 'Practical Action' whilst having a good party. 'Practical Action' is a charity that works with poor communities to help them choose and use technology to improve their lives.

Farmfestival is not corporate in any way, and promotes and showcases local, regional and national bands on two stages, the main stage and the tent stage. The event also has a bar, food stalls, art installations, and lots of randomness. Oh, and don't forget to wear a hat, it's compulsory (and the best hats gets free tickets to next year's festival!).

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £50, a child (aged 12 to 16 years) weekend ticket is priced at £35, under 12 can attend for free, and a campervan pass is priced at £25. With profits donated to charities Practical Action, Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance and The British Stammering Association, you can't say fairer than that. Under 17s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of 18 years and over. To buy tickets, click here.
