Boardmasters announces the Beach Sessions headliners

The 1975, and Benjamin Francis Leftwich will headline the Beach Sessions at Fistral that start Boardmasters happening on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th August 2013.

The Beach Sessions sell out every year proving to be on of the most popular events on offer. With support acts still to be announced, and are separate ticketed events priced at £15 for either day. Boardmasters is held on three sites across Newquay offering action sports including surf, skate, bmx, plus daily live music acts and the music festival.

This year sees the introduction of a third night of the music festival at Watergate Bay with the whole event running from Wednesday 7th until Sunday 11th August 2013 with camping over four days.

Fistral Beach, the surf capital of Cornwall, for sun, sea and surf action will host an array of surfers competing in the UK Pro Surf Tour. With an eclectic range of competitive categories, everyone from pro riders to groms can take part in this years competition with the formats to include: Men's Open, Women's Open, Men's Longboard, Pro Junior (Under 20's), Under 16's Mixed and Air Show.

Lining Fistral's sandy shores is the popular beach bar, live music performances, boutique stalls, art installations including surf art, photography and films and top action from the Boardmasters Skate and BMX ramps.

An adult weekend ticket for the three days from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th August 2013 is priced at £99, and £109 with camping. Deposit options are available. A weekend car park pass is £10, and a campervan pass is priced at £25. Children aged 10 years and under can attend free but require a ticket.
