Glastonbury Festival changes opening Pyramid stage act

Jupiter Bokondji and Okwess International replaces Toumani Diabate

In a change of line-up Jupiter Bokondji and Okwess International, has replaced Toumani Diabate who has been forced to withdraw due to illness. The kora player is suffering from a serious - but non-life threatening - bout of malaria and has been advised by doctors to cancel all of his European and US summer dates. 

Toumani's opening slot on the Pyramid Stage on Friday 28th June, will be taken by the Congolese act fronted by one-time Damon Albarn collaborator Jupiter Bokondji.

With just 2 weeks to go until Glastonbury Festival organisers have revealed it's extensive line-up across more than 50 stages and the day splits, theatre, circus, speakers, special guests, films, acts, and DJs that will be keeping Festival goers entertained over the five full days from Wednesday 26th June until Monday 1st July 2013 across a 1000 hectares (2470 acres) of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset. 

Tickets were priced at £205, and have sold out.
