The Human League have stepped in as last minute replacements for Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark as headliners at Rewind Scotland, the sister event to Henley's 80's Rewind held this weekend at Scone Palace, in Perth, Scotland.
The British synthpop group announced that drummer Malcolm Holmes had fallen sick and been hospitalized after suffering heat exhaustion during a show in Toronto. Holmes' illness meant they had to inform fans last Friday, 20th July, they were canceling their remaining shows for the rest of the year.
On Sunday The Human League top a bill that includes Level 42, Tony Hadley, Belinda Carlisle, Earth, Wind & Fire Experience feat Al McKay, Nik Kershaw, The Blow Monkeys, The Blockheads, Jason Donovan, Cutting Crew, Flying Pickets, and Sonia.
The Rewind event that is billed as a celebration of 80's music and artists will take place next weekend from Friday 26th until Sunday 28th July 2013.
The line-up on Saturday is headlined by Ali Campbell's UB40, with support from Kim Wilde, Mike & the Mechanics, Starship, Rick Astley, Howard Jones, Soul II Soul, Heather Small, A Flock Of Seagulls, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Captain Sensible, and Odyssey.
Festival goers can also expect posh nosh, theme bars, and the usual 80s Rewind range of camping options. In addition to the Main Stage, the festival will have a host of other entertainment; funfairs and fireworks, street entertainers and a Kidzone, alongside theme bars, food courts, stalls, silent disco and Karaoke.
An adult weekend with camping ticket was priced at £115 (or £100 without camping) and have sold out. A weekend child aged 12 years and under ticket were priced at £57.50 (or £50 without camping). Children aged 3 years and under go free. A standard campervan (up to 6m in length) pass was priced at £75, with passes for campervans over 6m in length priced at £150.
Only Sunday tickets are still available priced at £55 for adults, and £27.50 for children.
