Celtic Connections has announced that Del Amitri will be performing as part of the forthcoming festival that happens in 20 venues around Glasgow from Thursday 16th January until Sunday 2nd February 2014.

Glasgow’s best-loved outfit from the golden era of Scottish bands who emerged in the '80's will be performing with a cast of original members and even the original crew, as part of the festival on 24th January 2014 in the brand new SSE Hydro the city’s newest and biggest stage for their first UK show in over a decade, not to mention their Celtic Connections debut, which will also launch a 12-date nationwide tour.

Thirty years on from their debut single ‘Sense Sickness’, lead vocalist and songwriter Justin Currie promises “a retrospective sweep of our entire output, from indie art-pop through folk-tinged balladry to hairy Brit-rock chuggery,” spanning a career that’s included 15 Top 40 singles and four Top 10 albums, among them the iconic ‘Nothing Ever Happens’ and the million-selling Change Everything.

Currie and co-founder Iain Harvie, together with Andy Alston, Kris Dollimore and Ashley Soan, are also joined tonight by Airdrie contemporaries The Big Dish, who staged their own reunion at Celtic Connections 2012.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday 6th September at 10am priced at £35/£30 and will be available on the link below.
