All 15,000 coach + ticket packages for next year's Glastonbury Festival have now sold out, half an hour after they went on sale.
For the first time before the main ticket sale Festival bosses offered 15,000 early bird coach and ticket packages which for the first time went on sale ahead of the main ticket sale.
The main ticket sale will go on sale at 9am Sunday, 6th October 2013.
As with the general release of tickets, Festival goerswere able to book up to six coach + ticket packages per transaction. Along with their deposit of £50 per person, those booking coach packages will be required to pay the full coach ticket price for their journey. The full ticket price is £210 (£5 booking fee per ticket + £7 P&P per booking ).
Anyone aged 13 or over (when the Festival starts) who wishes to buy a ticket must be registered. All registered festival-goers who want to buy tickets will need the registration number and postcode for each person for whom a ticket is being booked.
Ticket registration closed on Monday, and is due to re-open sometime in the week commencing Monday 7th October. Everyone who plans to the come the Festival must register, and that includes children aged 13, 14 and 15. Each ticket sold will feature a photograph of the person in whose name it is registered and will be non-transferable. An existing registration can be checked here.
There will then be no further UK or International payments taken until the booking site re-opens on the first week of April 2014 when deposit purchasers will have one week to pay the balance of £160 per ticket, and to book everything else they might need (tipis, campervan tickets, parking, insurance).
Next year's Glastonbury runs for five full days from Wednesday 25th until Sunday 29th June 2014 across over a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset. As ever, entry includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising more than £2 million in funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and a host of local charities and causes.
