Another Hop Farm music festival is due to take place under a new management team at the Kent family park from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July 2013 in Paddock Wood, Kent according to Kent Online (here).

The event is not the same as the one which was cancelled by organiser Vince Power this summer due to poor ticket sales and was due to host My Bloody Valentine, Rodriguez, The Horrors, Jimmy Cliff, The Cribs, First Aid Kit, Dinosaur Jr, The Presidents Of The United States Of America, Martha Wainwright, Edwyn Collins, and more.

The new festival, held at the The Hop Farm Family Park which is under new management, will be about the same size as the first year of the other event which started in 2008 catering for about 20,000 people offering more for festival goers than music.

Miguel Fenton, head of marketing at the Hop Farm, told Kent Online: “The event is going ahead, which is great news. There will be a fresh approach under a new promoter.”

A spokesman for UK Events who produce events including the Eighties inspired Flashback Festival and Rockin' The Park, and are also involved in organising the revived festival, said: “It will be more of a boutique festival with a new promoter and line-up.”
