The third headliner for the 12th Download Festival which will happen at Donington Park over the weekend of Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June 2014 has been announced as Aerosmith who will be closing the festival.

The 'Love in an Elevator' American rockers return for the first time since they last headlined in 2010. Speaking on their return to Donington Park, guitarist Joe Perry said, “It’s been too long since we've been to England and we're sincerely f**ing charged to be coming back! See you there!"

Joining them on the main stage as main support will be hard rockers Alter Bridge.

Headlining Friday will be Avenged Sevenfold, with Rob Zombie in support. Saturday's headliner is Linkin Park who will be performing 'Hybrid Theory' in full as part of their set joined on the Saturday line-up by special guests Fall Out Boy.

Download will announce more than 150 acts across five stages over the coming weeks and months.
