The first acts and the location have been announced for the seventh One Love the UK's only annual reggae camping festival, which happens from Friday 15th until Sunday 17th August 2014.
The first acts confirmed to appear the new location - Stockwell Farm, in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire are The Mighty Diamonds, Cornel Campbell with Soothsayers, Bushman, Tapper Zukie, Gorgon Sound featuring Bunny Lee and special guest singer, and Nereus Joseph.
Regular Saxon Sound System return with their marquee with a full Sound System crew all weekend and special guests to announce. Sir Coxsone Outernational returns to defend this year's Battle of the Dubplates Champion award Goldmaster All Stars,and Choice Fm host a Reggae Showcase with Daddy Ernie, and more. Completing the raft of first acts are Instrument of Jah Sound System, and Platinum Sound.
The festival will also host an exclusive One Love Full Film Screening and Q&A Book Signing with special guests of Bunny Lee’s Feature Film 'I am the Gorgon.'
Created in recognition of one of the worlds greatest ever rock gig, Bob Marley's famous 1978 'One Love' concert, the One Love Festival is the UK's only annual Reggae Camping Festival.
Organisers are offering festival goers the chance to buy tickets for this lovely event for a limited time priced (plus booking fees) as follows:
An adult (aged 16+) ticket is priced at £110. Children's tickets (for those aged 5 to 15 years) are priced at £55. A Family Weekend ticket is priced at £275 for two adults and two children. Children aged under 5 years can attend for free. A live in vehicle is priced at £50 and a car parking ticket is priced at £10.
There is also an adult weekend ticket deposit scheme where a ticket can be secured for £55 with a final payment due in May.
Please note that all under 16 year olds must be accompanied to the festival by an adult.
An adult cannot be responsible for more than 4 under 18 year olds each. Proof of age for child tickets may be required on site. Live in vehicle tickets will be available at a later date.
There are no acts confirmed yet for 2014.
One Love have also set up a Kickstarter Campaign hoping to raise £40,000 in just 40 days to help make the event even better. The festival is urging reggae fans to help make history, and keep Reggae and One Love strong in UK.
The funds they hope to raise (if they do not reach their trget no money will change hands) will help to allow the event have more creative freedom, help them to grow, and allow organisers to make a fresh start.
