Public Service Broadcasting will headline The Georgian Theatre stage at this year's Stockton Calling, the one day only festival held in central Stockton-on-Tees, in the North-East on Easter Saturday 19th April 2014.
PSB's unique live AV Transmissions see them weave samples from old public information films, archive footage and propaganda material around live drums, guitar, banjo and electronics as they teach the lessons of the past through the music of the future - beaming our past back at us through vintage TV sets and state of the art modern video projection devices.
Organiser Chris Cobain, of Tees Music Alliance, said, “We’re thrilled to have captured such an exciting booking for next year's event. PSB will bring a whole new aspect to Stockton Calling with their visual elements; it’s an intriguing live experience.”
The venue-spanning event has expanded year on year since it’s 2010 conception; starting with ARC, KU and The Georgian Theatre, it has since gone on to draw in The Sun Inn, The Vault, The Storytellers and The Green Room, creating a day of musical enrichment through Stockton Town Centre.
Co-organiser, and manager of KU and Storytellers, Jimmy Beck commented, “We’re incredibly excited for the fifth year of Stockton Calling. It’s got bigger and bigger each year to meet with demand, and is still growing.”
Admission to each of the seven venues(ARC, The Georgian Theatre, KU Bar, The Sun Inn, The Green Room, The Vault, and new for 2013 - The Storytellers) is on a first come first served basis. Once capacity is reached the door will operate on a one in one out policy.
Tickets are priced £15.
Stockton Calling is an all ages event, under 14's must be accompanied by an adult. Admission to each venue is on a first come first served basis. Once capacity is reached the door will operate on a one in one out policy.
