Massive Attack, and Richie Hawtin's Plastikman lead the first 25 acts announced for Sonar, the annual three-day music festival held in Barcelona, Spain from Thursday 12th through to Saturday 14th June 2014.

The main highlights will be the debut of Massive Attack’s new show and the long awaited come back of Plastikman, this time at Sonar by Day and the exclusive European performance of his developing 'Objekt' live concept.

The first acts also include Caribou, Woodkid, Bonobo, Four Tet, Moderat, Jon Hopkins, I Am Legion, Gesaffelstein, James Holden, Oneohtrix Point Never, Matmos, Evian Christ, Happa, Jessy Lanza, Nisennenmondai, clipping., Downliners Sekt, Copeland, Majical Cloudz, Balago, Desert, Pau Roca.

Sónar By Day takes place over 4 stages (SonarVillage by Estrella Damm, SonarHall, SonarDôme and SonarComplex), all of which have increased capacities in their new locations in the Fira Montjuïc area in Plaça d'Espanya. The new Sónar by Day is significantly nearer Sónar by Night, which is still at its usual venue in the Fira Gran Via area in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, and consolidates its four-stage format, (SonarClub, SonarLab, SonarPub and SonarCar, located next to the bumper cars). With the festival's shuttle buses, the two sites are now only 10 minutes apart.
