Motorhead lead first acts for California's Coachella

plus Future Islands, Bonobo, Factory Floor, Bombino, and more

The first names for the line-up over the three days of Coachella Valley Music Festival, California's twin weekend event have been released on the official social media sites, ahead of the full line-up announcement due later this month.

The first acts are Motorhead, Future Islands, Bonobo, Factory Floor, Bombino, The Glitch Mob, The Internet, and The Magician.

This year Coachella will again be held over held over two consecutive weekends, with the line-ups expected to be once again repeated for each identical three-day span.

The dates for 2013 are confirmed as Friday 11th to Sunday 13th April for weekend one, and again a week later from Friday 17th to Sunday 20th April for weekend two.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (aka Coachella) the three-day annual music and arts festival is held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California, in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley. The event features a wide choice of genres of music including alternative rock, hip hop, and electronic music as well as large scale sculptural art.

Tickets will be priced at around $349 (approx £220) for general admission 3 day pass, including parking and camping. General release tickets are expected on sale at the end of the month, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
