Ex-Idlewild frontman Roddy Woomble, complete with a full live band, will be headlining Sunday afternoon of Bristol Folk Festival which returns to May Day Bank Holiday running on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May 2014 at St Georges Bristol and Bristol Folk House.
He joins the previously announced acts led by Fairport Convention, and Spiers & Boden, plus Lucy Ward, Gigspanner, Jim Moray, Martha Tilston, Gaz Brookfield, Sam Sweeney & Hannah James, Josienne Clark & Ben Walters, The Hut People, Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin, India Electric Co., Beth Porter, The Bookshop Band, Fabian Holland, Folk Law, The Willows, Ninebarrow, Paper Aeroplanes, Matthew & Me, The Black Feathers, James Baxter Rhodes, and Bad Cardigans, with more to be announced.Willows, Matthew & Me, and Bad Cardigan.
The festival will also feature Morris dancers, mummers and maypoles, ceilidhs,and singalong sessions.
Festivalgoers can be guaranteed no wet weather problems as the whole event will take place on four stages. As well as the Main Stages at St George’s and the Folk House, Songs From The Shed will also be hosting their own stage, and organisers are also introducing the brand new Kidnap Stage.
Early bird tickets are priced at £55 for both days plus booking fee.
