Dizzee Rascal, and White Lies have been announced as headliners for this summer's Y-Not Festival, which takes place from Friday 1st until Sunday 3rd August 2014 near Matlock in Derbyshire.

The first names anonunced for the line-up also includes The Fratellis, Newton Faulkner, Reel Big Fish, Andrew WK, The Blackout, Cerebral Ballzy, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Itch, Eliza and The Bear, Lonely The Brave, Darlia, Night Engine, Best Friends, Flyte, Brawlers, Nothing But Thieves, Nordic Giants, Black Moth, The First, Youth Man, and Hungerhoff & The Wild Roots.

Festival organiser, Simon Mawby has said, “We are so excited with our first announcement and are welcoming some of the biggest names we've ever had to our stages. The best part is this is just the beginning, with another headliner and hundreds more acts to come. It will truly be the best value Y Not ever."

These are just the first acts for Y-Not's ten stages, but it’s not all about the bigger bands. Y-Not continues to support up and coming talent with its long-established, purpose-built Allotment Stage. Applications to play here are managed through the Y Not Facebook page. Early bird tickets sold out in record time. Tickets are priced at £84.50 plus booking fees. A ticket for children aged 12 years & Under is free, an early entry Thursday (from 2pm) ticket is priced at £13, a car parking pass is £5, and a campervan pass is priced at £30..

A joint ticket of entrance to Y Not and 2000trees is priced at £140.

The festival, now in its ninth year, has a capacity of 8,000 people, and aside from the music on three stages, there is a whole host of activities for Y-Notters to get involved in. The festival attempts to have an intimate nature, with many of the bands camping with festival goers, and friendly stewards. Late night entertainment includes a dance tent, or camp fire singalongs and there will be real ales and local ciders available.
