Rock's greatest survivor the terminally ill Wilko Johnson leads the latest wave of acts for Sonisphere's celebration of 40 years of festivals at Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire this summer from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July 2014.
Also confirmed today are Dog Eat Dog who will mark the 20th anniversary of ‘All Boro Kings’ by performing a special anniversary set of the legendary album in its entirety, doom metallers Electric Wizard headline the Bohemia stage on Friday Night, Anti-flag, Black Spiders, Brutality Will Prevail, Empire, Krokodil, Raging Speedhorn, Reckless Love, Stampin' Ground, TesseracT, The Defiled, The Hell, The Hype Theory, and The Safety Fire.
The Prodigy will kick off the weekend with a bang on Friday night followed by Iron Maiden on Saturday night and Metallica closing the festival on Sunday. Also confirmed are Limp Bizkit, The Sisters of Mercy, Alice in Chains, Ghost, Gojira, Karnivool, and Mastodon all as exclusives, as well as Deftones, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Reel Big Fish, Protest The Hero, Alestorm, Truckfighters, Kerbdog, Only Crime, Blitz Kids, Itch, Max Raptor, Hounds, Slayer, Anthrax, Carnifex, Chas & Dave, Silverstein, The Virginmarys, Voodoo Six, and Airbourne.

Tickets are priced at £170 or £205 with camping, plus booking fees. A car parking pass is £18 and a campervan pass is £65.
The festivals is for all ages, under 16s accompanied by an adult 18+. Children under 5 are not advised but will be admitted. The campsite will opens on Thursday 3rd July at 1pm and will close at midday on Monday 7th July with the arena opening at 10am on Friday 4th July.
