Jack White to headline for Poland's Open'er Festival, the first European festival to announce him performing this year.
The guitarist who founded The White Stripes in 1997, fronted two other bands: classic rock quartet The Raconteurs and hard-rock supergroup The Dead Weather, before going solo two years ago, announced the sequal to his debut 'Blunderbuss', called 'Lazaretto' less than 24 hours ago, and word is we can expect a short tour.
Many more acts will be announced shortly for the event which offers festival goers some top international musicians along with a host of Polish music and theatre acts.
Headliners Pearl Jam and The Black Keys, plus Ben Howard, Lykke Li, Wild Beasts, Banks, Earl Sweatshirt, The Afghan Whigs, Tourist, Interpol, HAIM, Darkside, Warpaint, Daughter, Bastille, MGMT, Foals, Metronomy, Foster The People, Rudimental, Julio Bashmore, Phoenix, Pusha T, Bokka, The Dumplings, Misia Ff, Król, and Mel Koteluk, are the first act confirmed for the six stages of music.
Heineken Open'er Festival takes place in Gdynia-Kosakowo Airfield, Gdynia, Poland for four days between Wednesday 2nd and Saturday 5th July 2014.
Tickets are on sale at the following prices:-
- 4-day ticket with camping: 630 PLN (approx. £126)
- 4-day ticket without camping: 550 PLN (approx. £110)
Day tickets are priced at 207 PLN (approx £41).
