Glastonbury Festival 2014

Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th June 2014
Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 4AZ, England MAP
£210 (secured with a deposit) - SOLD OUT
Daily capacity: 177,500

In a festival first Glastonbury Festival have made this year's programme available on iTunes (here) priced at £3.99 with all proceeds from the Multi-Touch book going to Glastonbury’s three charities: Oxfam GB, WaterAid, and Greenpeace UK.

Having official 2014 Glastonbury programme early will mean that not just Festival goers but those watching it on TV over the weekend, or anyone else who is interested will be able to read the progamme in advance of the gates opening.

This special edition is available for iPad and Mac with iBooks, and those coming to the Festival, will still receive their own free paper copy of the physical programme (without the video content).

eFestivals is very impressed with the touch book which contains videos, interviews, photos and more to get you into the spirit of Glastonbury, as well as read more about the acts appearing next week at the Festival.

This year's programme expands on last year's Official Glastonbury Review (here) which saw the printed page augmented with video clips. We believe this is the first time that such a document has been created as a festival programme.

For those taking mobile devices to Glastonbury Festival, or any festival this summer,  don't forget we offer various apps across multiplatforms (here), and we've organised a chance for readers to get together on Wednesday night at the Cabaret Field Bar from 6pm, see our forum post (here).

Tickets have sold out for next week's Festival which happens over five full days from  Wednesday 25th until Sunday 29th June 2014 across over a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset .

This year's festival is headlined by Arcade Fire, Metallica, and Kasabian, plus over the long weekend acts appearing include Dolly Parton, Jack White, Elbow, The Black Keys, Robert Plant, Lily Allen, Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey, Rudimental, De La Soul, Kelis, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, The 1975, Angel Haze, Toumani & Sidiki Diabate, The War on Drugs, Nitin Sawhney, Nick Mulvey, Caro Emerald, Turtle Island, English National Ballet, Skrillex, Jake Bugg, and Massive Attack, Paolo Nutini, Pixies, Manic Street Preachers, Interpol, Ellie Goulding, HAIM, Bombay Bicycle Club, Foster the People, Imagine Dragons, Blondie, White Lies, Kodaline, Warpaint, The Horrors, John Newman, Midlake, Sam Smith, M.I.A., Bryan Ferry, Disclosure, Jurassic 5, Goldfrapp, Bonobo, Pretty Lights, Alabama 3, Stanton Warriors, Dub Pistols, Dreadzone, Jon Hopkins, Royal Blood, and many, many more.
