Mick Fleetwood revealed today on Chris Evan's Radio 2 Breakfast Show that Fleetwood Mac will be on tour in May and June, but that they shall most definitely not be doing Glastonbury 2015.

The drummer revealed that they were massively rumoured to appear and he felt many people had bought tickets based on his band making an appearance, but they definitely were not doing it.

He said, "But one of the things that I'd like to clear up, we're not playing Glastonbury. And a lot of folks think that we are, so loud and clear from Fleetwood Mac, we love Glastonbury and all the surrounding history of such a lovely festival, but we're not playing it, and a lot of people that I meet are totally buying tickets for what will be a great show in any case, certainly without Fleetwood Mac, I know that. They always have a great headliner but it won't be us.

"So, no bad faith for Glastonbury because it's an incredible festival I don't want people thinking that we are playing it, but we are coming next summer."

Asked if that means they will never play Glastonbury in the future, Mick added, "never say never."

Festival founder Michael Eavis had already denied the rumours in an interview last month (as reported here) saying, "Fleetwood Mac don't seem to be available at the moment," said Eavis. "But we've got three excellent headliners for next year."

It looks as thoough the reason Fleetwood Mac’s won't be available is because of their UK tour, details of which will be released on Monday, 10th November, eFestivals has heard rumours that the band may be slated at British Summer Time  in Hyde Park where they last appeared in 1968, but this is conjecture at present.

Next year's sold out Glastonbury runs for five full days from  Wednesday 24th until Sunday 28th June 2015 across over a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset. As ever, entry includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising more than £2 million in funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and and hundreds of other worthy causes, both local and international.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2015, the line-up will not be announced until spring next year. Expect something like 2,000 performances at over 100 venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information, site art, decor, and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!

As usual eFestivals will bring you the very best-sourced rumours, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2015 rumours, updated as we receive information.
