Takedown Festival w have given Fearless Vampire Killers the opportunity to curatea stage on on Saturday 7th March 2015.

Organisers announced, "Fearless Vampire Killers will be visiting El Costa Takedown on the 7th March, and are no strangers to our shores, having played our intimate one day festival shindig a couple of times already over recent years, increasingly delighting more and more new fans with each appearance, and garnering dozens of requests online for them to play again the following year almost the second they've stepped off the stage.

"Well we not only listened, but we devised a cunning plan to let them curate the stage they'll be headlining, and also to name it themselves. The Obsidian Stage is born. Wooooo, round of applause please. And what a banger of a line up they've chosen to grace it.

Along with Takedown newcomers Fort Hope, Colt 45, City Of Ashes, and Miss Vincent, there will be the return of familiar faces in Dead, Ashestoangels, and Ugly Love.

Further announcements incoming Monday 22nd December for Southampton's one day, alternative rock music event at Southampton University's Student Union complex.

Mallory Knox will headline, with Charlie Simpson, Devil Sold His Soul, Allusondrugs, The One Hundred, Empire, Dendera, Confessions of a Traitor, Baby Godzilla, Rolo Tomassi, Zoax, Create to Inspire, Forever Never, Meta-stasis, Seething Akira, Gone By Tomorrow, We Deny, Old Boy, Refuge of the Fallen, Bleed From Within, Decade, Milk Teeth, In The Hills, Griever, Three Times Over, and InMe playing their 2001 album debut Overgrown Eden in its entirety.

Early bird tickets are priced at £30 (£34 including UPRAWR aftershow party), plus booking fees.

Wristband Exchange will be open from 12.30pm, doors open 1.30pm. The event will finish around 10.30pm (subject to change).

14+ only. Under 14’s will not be admitted. Bring ID to ensure entry. Bring ID for alcohol if you are over 18 and/or are lucky enough to look under 21.
