Since 1990 the Green Futures Field has provided an important contribution, helping to keep the green agenda at the forefront of the green festival and providing a wonderful refuge from the 'Babylon' of the more commercial areas. Today they have announced their 2015 Theme will be 'Towards a Global Conciousness'.

The Green Futures Field area of has its own themed venue 'Toad Hall' celebrating England's natural countryside and highlighting the animal kingdom around us. The area is opposite 'Croissant Neuf' in the Greenfields and is dedicated to creative change and Eco problem solving.

The Field is brimming with ideas and a frenzy of colours. with solar venues, exhibits and market leaders. Fair trade stalls, eco art, upcycling, eenewable energy, campaigns, human rights info and quality and emerging conscious entertainment. Speakers it has hosted over the years include founder Michael Eavis, Caroline Lucas, and Tony Benn.

The colourful, action-packed, family friendly space gives Festival goers the opportunity to enjoy the future as it happens and contribute to it as well with eco exhibits and a full programme of conscious music.

This year's sold out Glastonbury Festival runs for five full days from Wednesday 24th until Sunday 28th June 2015 across over a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset.

As ever, entry includes a free programme. Once again, the Festival will be raising more than £2 million in funds for Oxfam, Wateraid, Greenpeace and and hundreds of other worthy causes, both local and international.

The only act confirmed is Lionel Richie in the teatime legends slot. There are no other acts confirmed yet for 2015, the line-up will not be announced until spring. Expect something like 2,000 performances at over 100 venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information, site art, decor, and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!
