For a 2nd year Glastonbury FM, will launch their songwriting competition giving listeners the chance to perform at Godney Gathering, Farmfestival, and The Sat in a Field Festival.

The prizes for Glastonbury FM's Thursday Live song writing competition are:

To play on the GFM Stage at this year's Godney Gathering
To play on the main Marquee Stage at the Farmfestival near Bruton
To play The Otters Pocket Stage at The Sat in a Field Festival at Cheddar
On all of the above festival prizes they include event passes for the acts.

All the finalists will also get a chance to play a session on Glastonbury FM's Thursday Live show which covers the local music scene presented by Ian Liversidge.

Entries are limited to a 25 mile radius of Glastonbury, the span of acts the Thursday Live show has on. Entries for the contest close on 3rd April 2015 at 9pm. Finalists will be announced on 10th April 2015.

Glastonbury FM will hold a finals night on Saturday 16th May in Glastonbury for finalists to perform their entries.

Organiser Ian Liversidge said, "Glastonbury FM were overwhelmed with the response and coverage to the first competition and were really proud that the event is part of the music calender.

"We had such a high standard of entries last year even though we only had one prize for the finalists quite a few of them still ended up with festival slots. So this year even more great festivals have got behind us and offered a chance for local musicians to play. "

All entries into the competition will receive airplay on Glastonbury FM and all entry fees will help not-for-profit station Glastonbury to support people in the mid-Somerset area.
