Shooglenifty will be showcasing their new album ‘The Untied Knot’, to be released in May, at the four-day 20th Hebridean Celtic Festival.
The band, formed in 1990, are known for their wide-ranging collaborations with musicians from around the world and will appear on four different continents this year alone.
They said of their HebCelt appearance, "We are looking forward to a bumper party at HebCelt. The festival’s 20th anniversary - and the band’s 25th - makes for a doubly special gig."
Also confirmed are Salsa Celtica, Niteworks, Manran, Sorren Maclean, Have Mercy Las Vegas, Dublin-born song poet Vincent Cross, and Glasgow based contemporary folk singer-songwriter Scott McWatt.
They join Afro Celt Sound System, Treacherous Orchestra, Chastity Brown, Le Vent du Nord, Raghu Dixit, Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys, Jamie Smith's Mabon, Karen Matheson, Siobhan Miller, Iain Morrison, Between Islands, Shinty's Heroes (Curaidhean na Camanachd), Na h-Òganaich, Shine, Halcyon, Malin, Sunshine Social, Earths, and The Elephant Sessions.
The 20th HebCelt, based in Stornoway in the island of Lewis, Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland from Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18th of July 2015.
Tickets are being held at the 2014 prices of £79 for the weekend (£61 for concession and £19 for children under 14) for the main arena events.
