Kelis to cook as well as play at OnBlackheath Festival

‘Tasty’ hitmaker, and food lover Kelis will not only be taking to the main stage but she will also be cooking at OnBlackheath festival which is now in it's second year, and returns to London's Blackheath Common on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September 2015.

The ‘Milkshake’ singer will be serving up dishes on the Food Stage before taking to the main stage on the Sunday of the festival, she said, "I love London and can’t wait to cook and play at OnBlackheath Festival! I hope everyone comes out for a good time."

Chefs appearing include duo Hemsley & Hemsley, Gennaro Contaldo, DJ BBQ, Dan Doherty, Martin Morales, Pascal Aussignac, Calagary Anvansion, Fabulous Baker Brothers, Natasha Corrett, Andy Mcleish and ‘Food Busker’ John Quilter.

The chefs will not only be creating dishes with their preferred local produce on the Food Stage but guests will have the opportunity to sample two dishes and accompanying drink showcasing each chef’s style and ethos in separately ticketed Chef’s Club Food Banquet.

Headliners Elbow, and Madness, plus Manic Street Preachers, Jack Savoretti, Kelis, Anna Calvi, Laura Mvula, Temples, 808 State, Seun Kuti, Eska, Owiny Sigoma Band Soundsystem, Clap! Clap! , Stuff, Jordan Rakei, Lefto, Throwing Shade, Sunny Afternoon (The Kinks Musical), Stealing Sheep, Eaves, Hooton Tennis Club, Drinks (Cate Le Bon & Tim Presley), Gilles Peterson will be making a return and will be bringing an array of live music and DJ sets to his Worldwide Stage.

Heavenly Records DJs will be back to curate the second stage Heavenly & Friends, and The Meantime Sessions Stage has also been announced and will feature acts including The Rude Vandals, and The Chris Holland Band.

Tickets are priced at £89 for an adult 2-day weekend ticket, and £49 for a child (aged 13-16 years) 2-day weekend ticket, with children aged 12 years and under able to attend for free. An adult day ticket for Saturday is priced at £54.50, and under 16s day ticket is priced at £35. An adult day ticket for Sunday is priced at £45, and under 16s day ticket is priced at £29. Kids under 12 are FREE on either day.

As well as the music line-up, OnBlackheath offers chefs who will not only be creating dishes with their preferred local produce on the Food Stage, but will also appear in the ‘Chef Club&rsquo. During the chef’s hour takeover in the Club, guests will have the oppurtunity to enjoy two dishes and accompanying drink showcasing each chef’s style and ethos. Plus attractions including a silent disco, street &  fringe theatre, street food, Farmers Market, mixology demonstrations and drinks from local brewers. The festival will also offer interactive fun, games, workshops, entertainment and activities for kids (and adults) of all ages at the festival.
