This year there will be free camping for visitors to stay for the whole weekend, and make the most of the town at next month's 19th annual Glastonbury Extravaganza held in the ancient Glastonbury Abbey's grounds on Saturday, 8th August which sees Ray Davies headline, before the traditional closing fireworks display.

A bus will take Extravaganza-goers to the Abbey and back for the concert. The campsite will have security and toilet facilities and will be available from 10am on Friday August 7 until 12noon on Monday August 10. Parking will be available at the campsite.

Bookings for the campsite will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Once an Extravaganza ticket has been booked, ticket holders are asked to email extravaganza@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk with details of the number of ticket holders, tents and vehicles and organisers will reply with more information.

Michael Eavis said, "It will make a perfect weekend – the site we have earmarked is a lovely setting, in the shadows of the Tor in which to camp before attending what will be a fabulous concert with wonderful music."

The support acts this year are Joan Armatrading, and The Shires.
