Ed Sheeran steps in to headline Fusion Festival

Ed Sheeran has been announced as the new headline act on Friday of Fusion Festival which takes place at Cofton Park, in Birmingham - the event has been expanded to three days from Friday 28th until Sunday 30th August 2015 and helps support The Prince's Trust with a £5 donation from each ticket sold.

Damien Sanders (Event Director for Fusion) said, "This is incredible news, when Ed heard that Justin Bieber had pulled out he contacted us and offered to step in at the last minute, this is an amazing gesture from an all-round great guy and Ed really has saved the day, we are all eternally grateful. We look forward to a spectacular show and are delighted to have secured one of the biggest acts in the world."

Ed Sheeran commented, "I’m delighted to be playing Fusion Festival after stepping in at the last minute to help out the guys at Fusion and support The Princes Trust. Birmingham crowds are always lively, so I can’t wait to come back. See you in a few weeks!"

Friday is headlined by Ed Sheeran, with Tinie Tempah, Rixton, DJ Fresh, Fuse ODG, Aston Merrygold, Shift K3y, and Luke Friend.

The Saturday is headlined by Rudimental, with Labrinth, Clean Bandit, Ella Henderson, Sigma, Becky Hill, Dappy, M.N.E.K, and M.O in support.

The Sunday has McBusted, The Vamps, Jess Glynne, Gorgon City, Conor Maynard, Union J, Karen Harding, Alexa Goddard, and Stereo Kicks.

The early bird ticket offer has ended. A 3 day weekend weekend ticket is priced at £120, day tickets are priced at £49.99, and a family (2 adults, 2 children or 1 adult, 3 children) ticket is priced at £160.

£5 from each ticket sale is donated to The Prince's Trust, a youth charity that helps vulnerable young people to turn their lives around. Helping more than 700,000 young people since 1976 and supports 100 more each day.

Gates open at 12pm for all ticket holders. Festival times are 2.00pm until 10.30pm. Children 5 and under are admitted free. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
