Glastonbury Festival 2016

Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th June 2016
Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 4AZ, England MAP
£228 - SOLD OUT
Daily capacity: 203,000

It's not long now until tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival 2016 go on sale, with this weekend the last one for those wanting to buy tickets to register.

Registration does not mean you have bought a ticket, but you can't buy a ticket without a registration number.

In order to buy a ticket Festival goers over the age of 12 must be registered, with online registration only taking a few minutes, this needs to be completed before trying to buy a ticket. Children aged 12 and under do not require tickets and do not need to register.

Registration will be temporarily suspended before and during the main ticket selling period, and will be closing at 9am on Tuesday 29th September, remaining closed until after next Sunday's main ticket sale.

To register click here.

Seetickets aim to respond to all registrations within 24 hours during the working week. If you have not had a response from them within that time frame we would suggest the following 3 courses of action:

1) Check your spam/junk email folder, in case your email has been rejected by your service provider

2) Check online at https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/registration/lookup to see if your registration has been approved

3) Re-register at https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/Registration/Register

Tickets are reserved with a deposit of £50 and cost a total of £228 each (plus a £5 booking fee). Festival goers opting for the coach package will pay extra for transport.

While the bulk of Glastonbury tickets go on sale at 9am on Sunday 4th October, those travelling to the festival by coach will be allowed to book theirs four days in advance.

15,000 coach and ticket packages will be sold in advance of the general sale at 7pm on Thursday 1st October as part of the festivals commitment to green travel.

Along with their deposit of £50 per person, those booking coach packages will be required to pay the full coach ticket price for their journey.

A list of pick-up locations and prices is available here.

Both kinds of tickets can be booked in groups of six at a time. There will then be no further UK or International payments taken until the booking site re-opens on the first week of April 2016 when deposit purchasers will have one week to pay the balance of £178 per ticket, and to book everything else they might need (parking, and insurance).

Tickets for Worthy View, the pre-erected camp site offering a range of British-made traditional scout tents, bell tents, tipi tents and small yurts are likely to go on sale a couple of weeks after the ticket sales. For the first time this year you will also be able to book campervan tickets and tipis in this sale.

Tickets for this year's event sold out in in just under 26 minutes.

Organisers have published the following tips for getting a ticket:

1. Make sure you have all your registration details (including postcodes) ready and checked in advance, that there are sufficient cleared funds on the card you intend to use to book, and that you know all the security information for that card.
2. Be aware that tickets are not held whilst you’re entering your details, so you need to be ready to enter all your details quickly and accurately once you reach the booking page.
3. Be persistent and patient – there are likely to be more people trying to buy tickets than there are tickets available, so inevitably not everyone will be able to book tickets, but the longer you try the more likely you are to get a ticket.
4. Stick to one tab, in one window, so you can focus on entering your details without confusing your browser. Access to the booking page is limited to 10 minutes from the point you enter your registration details (but tickets are not held during this time), so if you have lots of tabs refreshing the same page, the clock will start as soon as the first one of those tabs hits the site, which may have been a window you weren’t keeping an eye on.
6. If the page ‘hangs’ and you can’t get any further, try pressing back once and then continue your booking from that point. If that doesn’t help, close your browser and start again. Please don’t continue to refresh the page beyond 10 minutes after entering your details as your access to the page will have expired. You will need to close the browser and start again to gain fresh access to the booking page.
7. If an attempt to book is already held against your registration number, your number will be held for up to 10 minutes whilst the transaction is attempted, but will be released if the transaction fails, to give you the chance to try again.

Glastonbury Festival will take place on 2,000 acres around a farm in Pilton, Somerset over five full days from Wednesday 23rd until Sunday 27th June 2016. There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016. Expect something like 2,000 performances at over 100 venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information, site art, decor, and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!

As usual eFestivals will bring you the very best-sourced rumours, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2016 rumours, updated as we receive information.

Help us to help you - if you hear of a band that's playing, please let us know.
