It's no real surprise but Noel Gallagher has explained why anyone who thought there may be an Oasis reunion at next year's Glastonbury Festival was wrong.

Talking to The Daily Star, (here), the High Flying Birds frontman said, "I don't know where the rumours keep coming from about Glastonbury, would we ever do it? They don't have enough money I'm afraid. That's the bottom line, they just don't pay enough."

That has been pretty obvious to most people trying to guess possible headliners ever since he split with his brother Liam. If the band were to reform the brothers would surely only do it for a decent pay out, or host their own shows to really cash in, and Noel often says he's just not interested in reuniting with his brother Liam once more. eFestivals suggests to Noel that these rumours keep coming from the bookies who know a fool and their money are easily parted.

Accommodation bookings, went on sale today, and all options have pretty much sold out now
