Take That have been confirmed as the first act to be headlining a day of music in London's Hyde Park at British Summer Time, on Saturday 9th July 2016.
Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen are touring these days as a three piece. Formed in 1990 as a five piece, Robbie Williams left to pursue a solo career in 1995, and Jason Orange left the band last year.
Take That said, "If someone would have told us in 1991 'hey guys in 24 years you’re going to be playing at one of the most famous parks in the world', I probably wouldn’t have believed whoever said it.
"We are thrilled to have been invited to headline Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park. The atmosphere will be amazing, I know that between us and the audience, there’s going to be an incredible energy."
Tickets will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 13th November, 2015, priced from £72 and we'll have links to buy them then.
British Summer Time is the first big event in Hyde Park since AEG Live won the tender to host concerts there. The event includes a village green with a pub and farmers' market. Plus real lavatories, an outdoor pool bar, bistros, restaurants and cocktail bars.
