Playing one of only two UK shows in 2016, Sigur Ros will top the line-up on the main stage for Citadel, which returns for a second year to London's Victoria Park on Sunday 17th July 2016.
The band said of their headline appearance, "We are pleased to announce that we are playing Citadel next summer. In the spirit of adventure, all we can say right now is it’s going to be different. In addition to playing all the songs you know and love, there will be new unreleased songs, a new show and more… Trust us on this one."
There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016. Communion and visionary independent promoters Soundcrash will be aligning with Citadel once again to curate their respective stages.
Conceived and created by Wilderness Festival and Superfly, co-creators of American festivals Bonnaroo and Outside Lands.
Tickets will be priced from £39.50 plus booking fee. Tickets go on general sale on Tuesday 1st December at 9am, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
Away from the live music programme, the festival will host chefs who'll produce a series of long table Sunday dining experiences whilst Secret Productions' Sunday Papers Live team will host a tent of captivating literary talks, spoken word and debates.
There will also be a Park Bandstand, a Sunday Sports Day, a range of arts and crafts classes and workshops onsite, plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind on site, with Park Yoga sessions, massages and therapies all available.
