Therapy?, Slayer, Shinedown, Halestorm, The Hooters, and Soilwork lead the latest acts confirmed for next year's Sweden Rock Festival.
In 1984, the year after Thin Lizzy broke up, Phil Lynott put together a new band named Grand Slam with keyboard wiz Mark Stanway (Magnum) and guitarist Laurence Archer (ex UFO). As a tribute to Phil Lynott, Grand Slam will come to Sweden Rock to perform much of the last material Lynott ever wrote. Besides Mark Stanway and Lawrence Archer the band consists of bass player Neil Murray (ex-Whitesnake, Gary Moore etc), drummer Mickey Barker (ex Magnum) and Swedish singer Stefan Berggren (ex-Company Of Snakes).
The line-up will also include King Kobra, Mike Tramp, Eric Sardinas And Big Motor, and The Struts
Also recently confirmed are Sabaton, Megadeth, Foreigner, Sixx Am, Death DTA, Graveyard, Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats, LA Guns, The Kristet Utseende, Graham Bonnet, Neon Rose, Skitarg, and Diamond Head.
Threy join the previously announced Queen with Adam Lambert, The Hellacopters, Twisted Sister, King Diamond, Avantasia, Blind Guardian, Satyricon, Lordi, Loudness, Amaranthe, My Dying Bride, Dan Reed Network, Finntroll, Legion of the Damned, Gun, Robin George & Dangerous Music, Eclipse, Dan Baird and Homemade Sin, Bonafide, Tribulation, Pedalens Pagar, Twilight Force, and King Witch, with more yet to be announced.
Sweden Rock Festival takes place from Wednesday 8th until Saturday 11th June 2016, in the northern Swedish town of Solvesborg.
Tickets are priced at 2590 SEK (£224) for four days, or 2390 SEK (£207) for three days. Last year tickets sold out.
It is free entry for children under 13 years of age in the company of a guardian, although it the festival does not recommend that infants attend.
