eFestivals can exclusively reveal that comedian Bill Bailey will headline the Sunday at next year's family-friendly Wychwood Festival which returns for its' 12th event to Cheltenham Racecourse, in Gloucestershire next year from Friday 3rd until Sunday 5th June 2016, during the summer half term holiday.
Graeme Merrifield, Wychwood Organiser said of his return after appearing in 2013, "We're thrilled to announce the return of Bill Bailey to our wonderful Wychwood festival. Our goals for this year are to provide a family friendly festival full of most exciting acts and activities that everyone can enjoy and Bill proved a fantastic hit for our audience before and we cannot wait to welcome him back in 2016. As a special Christmas treat we are also inviting Bill's fans to enter a special competition to win tickets by guessing what's in Bill's pocket! He joins Peter Hook and the Light, Kate Rusby, Matt Berry & The Maypoles, From The Jam, and Craig Charles who were the first acts to be announced.The other two of next year's headliners are still under wraps.
The Wychwood Music Festival boasts four music stages with over 100 bands, plus comedy, 100 workshops and events for all ages, kids literature festival, healing and sculpture gardens, The Headphone Disco until the wee hours, great food and real ales, and much more.
Wychwood offers fantastic fun for kids, and hosts a literary festival with authors and illustrators, kids' favourite characters, a multitude of making things, playing with stuff, learning, education, workshops, dance, and much more, and all free with no need to sign up, just drop in and join in the fun.
There are numerous workshop venues, and with over 100 events over the weekend both inside and out for adults, kids and families featuring dance, theatre, fitness, nature, musicianship, singing, puppetry, photography, circus skills arts and crafts and much more.
Tier 2 tickets come off sale midnight Thursday 31st December 2015. An early bird adult weekend ticket is priced at just £125, a disabled (2 for 1 with carer) ticket is priced at £125, Youth/Concessions weekend tickets are priced at £100, a teen (aged 10-15 yr) full weekend ticket is priced at £60, children aged 5-9 years weekend tickets are priced at £20 and under 5 year olds go free with an adult.
An adult camping ticket is an additional £20, concession camping tickets are priced at £11 camping for children aged under 16 years is free, and a campervan ticket is priced at £55. Day tickets will be available at a later date.
