The first acts have been announced for the 25th anniversary edition of Priddy Folk Festival which takes place from Friday 8th until Sunday 10th July 2016 and is held in the village of Priddy, high on the Mendip Hills in Somerset.

The first acts announced are Lady Maisery, Belshazzars Feast, Rory McLeod, Ant Noel & The Peabody Drakes, Beth Porter and The Availables, Mec Lir, Lucy Ward, Baraka, Breabach, Calan, Dallahan, Sam Mabett and Dylan Cairns-Howarth, and The Drystones.

An early bird adult weekend with camping ticket is priced at £70. A youth 11-16 years with camping ticket is priced at £35. Entry is free for children aged under 11 but they require a ticket. A weekend without camping ticket for adults is priced at £56. A youth 11-16 years ticket without camping is priced at £28.

In addition there will be many smaller one hour concerts/meet the artist type events, as well as the usual Dance Festival with Morris, Maypole, Appalachian and more, Children's Festival offering Juggling, story telling, puppets, face painting and more, Sessions in the two pubs, singarounds and so on. There will be a Club Tent and open mic Sessions and Craft Fayre and Workshops with wood-turning, pottery, weaving, and a carefully selected mix of traders.

The festival will offer a varied and interesting range of food, real ales & scrumpy, on-site camping, large parking field.
