Laura Marling, Suede, Bob Mould, Underworld, Savages, Yeasayer, Daughter, and Roots Manuva are the latest acts confirmed for the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival which returns for a third edition this year it will take place in Bristol at Motion, Colston Hall, O2 Academy, Basement 45 and Trinity from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th February 2016.
Also confirmed are John Grant, Frank Turner,Guy Garvey, Everything Everything, Bloc Party, Gwenno, Buzzcocks, White Denim, Misty in Roots, Rat Boy, Blanck Mass, The Moonlandingz, The Pop Group 'noise set' with Geoff Barrow, !!!, Blossoms,, Kurt Vile (solo), Mystery Jets, Polica, Roisin Murphy, This Is The Kit, Hooton Tennis Club, Rozi Plain, Foals, Field Music, The Invisible, Beirut, Steve Mason, Ezra Furman, Golden Rules, C Duncan, Hinds, and Julia Holter.
Additionally, on Saturday 13 February, as part of the Colston Hall line-up on the Concourse Stage, 6 Music presenter Don Letts curates seven hours of DJ performances showcasing the evolution of Bass culture which will include Dennis Bovell, Ray Mighty, Queen Bee, Ray Mighty, Fresh 4 , Bliss Zion, and 2 Kings Records Soundsystem. And on Sunday 14 February the Concourse Stage features a line-up of DJ sets from Auntie Flo, Matthew Herbert, Mount Kimbie, Appleblim, and Beyond The Wizards Sleeve, and 6 Music presenter Gilles Peterson.
The third year of the Festival will see over 50 acts across three days delivering live music, conversation, comedy and more taking place at venues across the city - Motion, Colston Hall, O2 Academy Bristol and Basement 45, plus Festival by Day at Trinity.
Bob Shennan, Controller, BBC Radio 6 Music, said, "This year’s 6 Music Festival in Bristol will bring a feast of entertainment to a city that has a musical story to tell. The Festival will bring together a rich combination of some of the UK’s burgeoning talent including Blossoms and Rozi Plain coupled with 6 Music favourites such Underworld and Laura Marling, fully reflecting 6 Music’s exciting and diverse output."
The first acts confirmed were Primal Scream, Roni Size, Tricky, The Blue Aeroplanes, Sherwood & Pinch.

The line-up featuring an ever-growing bill of over 50 bands and artists, with three days of live music and conversation, with more daytime activities to be announced next week.

The 6 Music Festival by Day is a separately ticketed free event with more live music, 6 Music presenters in conversation with names from the night-time line-up and other established plus newer artists, discussions, spoken word performances,and more.
Tickets for the 6 Music Festival by Day are free and will be allocated via an audience ballot.
