The line-ups for the the Rewind Festivals celebrating the 1980's decade held in Scotland and Henley On Thames have been announced.
For the eighth year the festival returns to Temple Island Meadows, near Henley On Thames over the weekend of Friday 19th until Sunday 21st August 2016. On Saturday Erasure's Andy Bell headlines a day including Rick Astley, Tony Hadley and Orchestra, Trevor Horn Band and Special Guests, Jimmy Somerville, Leo Sayer, Lloyd Cole and The Leopards, The Real Thing, Belle Stars, Snap!, Hazell Dean, and Toyah.
Adam Ant tops the bill on Sunday with a supporting cast of Marc Almond, Earth, Wind & Fire Experience feat Al McKay, Heather Small, Roland Gift, Living In A Box, Annabella's Bow Wow Wow, The Beat, The Blockheads, British Electric Foundation Featuring Mari Wilson, Jaki Graham, Landscape, The Farm's Peter Hooton, and Heaven 17's Glenn Gregory, plus many more big names.
The line-up for Rewind North held at Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire from Friday 5th until Sunday 7th August 2016 is topped by Adam Ant, on Saturday with UB40, Marc Almond, Go West, Midge Ure, Stray Cat's Slim Jim Phantom, Lloyd Cole and The Leopards, From The Jam, Snap!, Annabella's Bow Wow Wow, Hazell Dean, and Doctor and the Medics.
On Sunday the line-up is Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey, Rick Astley, Earth, Wind & Fire Experience feat Al McKay, Paul Carrack, Nik Kershaw, Jason Donovan, Hazel O'Connor, Joe Lynn Turner, The Christians, British Electric Foundation Featuring Thomas Dolby, Peter Hook, Heaven 17's Glenn Gregory, Mari Wilson, and Noisettes' Shingai Shoniwa.
The event also returns to Scotland for the sixth time held at Scone Palace, in Perth, Scotland over the weekend of Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th July 2016, and hosts Holly Johnson, Tony Hadley, Rick Astley, Marc Almond, Average White Band, Go West, Leo Sayer, The Beat, Snap!, Hazell Dean, Living In A Box, and The Bluebells on Saturday.
On Sunday Adam Ant headlines a line-up featuring Big Country, Midge Ure, ABC, Stray Cat's Slim Jim Phantom, Roland Gift, Annabella's Bow Wow Wow, Toyah, China Crisis, British Electric Foundation Featuring Thomas Dolby, Mari Wilson, Heaven 17's Glenn Gregory, The Farm's Peter Hooton, and Noisettes' Shingai Shoniwa
Tickets for all three events will go on sale at 9am this Friday, 29th January and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
Festival goers can also expect posh nosh, theme bars, and the usual 80s Rewind range of camping options including tents already erected for arrival, tipi villages, and more. In addition to the Main Stage, both festivals will have a host of other entertainment; funfairs and fireworks, street entertainers and kidzone, theme bars, food courts, traders, SilentArena, and karaoke.
