Kate Rusby, Vieux Farka Toure, Dervish, The Demon Barbers XL, and Declan O'Rourke lead the first acts announced for the 3rd Underneath the Stars Festival happening from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th July 2016.

They will be joined by King Zepha, Olivia Chaney, Blue Rose Code, Talisk, Curtis Eller's American Circus, Blair Dunlop, Rory McLeod, Holy Moly & the Crackers, and Nashville duo Ten String Symphony.

Other highlights include Tim Dalling, West of Eden, Katriona Gilmore & Jamie Roberts, The Hut People, Jim Evans, Kezia, Lowri Evans, and The Grand Old Uke of York.

Joe Rusby, festival artistic director and Kate’s brother, said, "We’re delighted to announce this year’s line-up for Underneath the Stars, which presents a thrilling and eclectic selection of bands and soloists from a great range of music genres.

"Underneath the Stars is now established as an annual family-friendly weekend event through which we aim to provide opportunities for our audience to explore a diverse programme of high quality music and creative arts."

Alongside two stages of music, Underneath the Stars will feature family activities including a planetarium, handmade crafts, street theatre and storytelling, as well as music and dance workshops,award winning street food and a real ale bar, and full access to Cannon Hall Open Farm.

The summer festival of music, arts and food, is a collaboration between Kate Rusby, her family production team and Cannon Hall Open Farm, at Barnsley in South Yorkshire.  In addition to the musicians there will be a host of activities for a range of ages including craft stalls, workshops, storytelling, and giant planetarium showing incredible educational video presentations and night-sky projections.

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £115 for the whole weekend without camping, and £95 for concessions (Student/ Over 60s/ Unwaged). Children aged 7-15 years tickets are priced at £60. Children aged 0-6 years can attend for free.

A ticket with camping is priced at £135 for adults, £115 for concessions, £70 for children aged 7-15 years, and £295 for a family tickets for 2 adults and 2 children (7-15 years), a caravan or camper van ticket is priced at an additional £25 small or £45 large for weekend. A Standard 3 person Tent space is priced at £10 (4m x 5m pitch to include a car) or £20 for a Large Tent (8m x 5m pitch to include a car)

You are able to drive onto the festival campsite, pitch your tent and park next to it. The camping field will be directly adjacent to the main festival site and organisers promise the best mobile toilet and shower facilities available.
