Glastonbury Festival 2016

Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th June 2016
Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 4AZ, England MAP
£228 - SOLD OUT
Daily capacity: 203,000

With the window of opportunity to pay the balance on tickets reserved for this summer's Glastonbury Festival rapidly approaching, those who have put down deposits for tickets will be asked to agree to sign a pledge to do their bit to look after the Festival site, that's also a working farm.

To secure a Glastonbury Festival 2016 ticket, those who paid the deposit last year must now pay the balance of the ticket cost during the ticket balance payment window - from 9am on Friday 1st April until 11:59pm (BST) on Thursday 7th April 2016.

This year organisers particularly want to highlight the Festival's environmental policies which all ticket purchasers are required to subscribe to. Therefore when paying the balance ticket buyers will be asked to sign the 'Love the Farm, Leave no Trace' pledge, agreeing that:

They will use the toilets provided and not pee on the land.

They will use the bins provided and not throw their rubbish on the ground.

They will take all their belongings home with them  again, including their tent and camping equipment.

They will bag up all their rubbish in the bin bags provided by the campsite stewards and use the recycling pens provided in each campsite.

The pledge must be agreed to buy those paying off their balances. It is not possible to attend the Festival without agreeing to Love the Farm, Leave no Trace.

The balance due is £178 (plus a £5 booking fee) per person; plus a £7.75 transaction fee (postage and packing or box office collection) per order.

Whilst paying your balance ticket holders will be given the option of booking ticket cancellation cover and car park passes priced at £35. Plus a chance to order a reusable drinks bottle to cut down on plastic pollution.

More acts are expected to be announced shortly. The only acts confirmed so far are Friday headliner Muse, Adele on Saturday and Coldplay on Sunday, and PJ Harvey and Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra filling the 'legends' slot on the same day. Plus the entrants for the Emerging Talent competition Bossy Love, Early Ghost, Gillbanks, Hattie Whitehead, Henry Green, Lady Sanity, Marcus McCoan, and She Drew The Gun.

The full complete line-up will not be announced until May. Expect something like 2,000 performances at over 100 venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information, site art, decor, and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!

The dates for the 2016 Festival will be from Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th June. As usual eFestivals will bring you the very best-sourced rumours, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2016 rumours, updated as we receive information.

Help us to help you - if you hear of a band that's playing, please let us know.

Ticket holders for this summer's Glastonbury Festival are reminded to take part in their future by making sure they apply for an EU Referendum postal or proxy vote. You will find links to the form to postal vote here and proxy voting here. For more information (see the news page here).
