Spain's Bilbao BBK Live, the three day festival that takes place in the outskirts of Bilbao (north coast of Spain) and happening from Thursday 7th until Saturday 9th July 2016 has announced it will host a new area - 'Basoa', offering festival goers electronic and experimental sounds in a clearing in the surrounding Basque woodland upon Kobetamendi Hill with views overlooking the city of Bilbao, and surrounding sandy beaches.
Confirmed to appear Four Tet, Ame, Erol Alkan, Floating Points, Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), Fort Romeau, Red Axes, Tim Sweeney, Horse Meat Disco, Agents Of Time, Jeremy Greenspan , Borys, Pional, C.P.I., Undo, JMII, and Abu Sou.
They join headliners Foals, Arcade Fire, Pixies (appearing as a Spanish festival exclusive), plus Underworld, Editors, Junior Boys, Blossoms, New Order, M83, Hot Chip, Jose Gonzalez, We Are Standard, Courtney Barnett, Father John Misty, Years And Years, Wolf Alice, Tame Impala, Grimes, Chvrches, Slaves, Soulwax, 2manydjs, Blood Red Shoes, Little Scream, Leon Benavente, Jagwar Ma, Inheaven, Love of Lesbian, Belako, Nudorzurdo, Triangulo De Amor Bizarro, Hidrogennese, Rural Zombies, C. Tangana, Green Class, Yellow Big Machine, Begiz Begi, and Hola A Todo El Mundo.
The 40,000 capacity festival has not yet announced any of the rest of the line-up for the four main stages, two dance tents, a pop tent, a chillout area, food stalls and a campsite.
The early bird offer has ended. A three day ticket is priced at £77 or £84 with camping.
Two low cost airlines operate direct flights from London to Bilbao. Check Easyjet (from Standstead) and Clickair (from Heathrow). Iberia also operates daily direct flights from Gatwick airport. Ryanair operates daily flights to Santander, just an hour bus ride to Bilbao.
Under 18-s will have to be accompanied by an adult.
